Long Time, No See!

Well, It has been forever since I have posted... forgive me. When things get crazy, blogging is the first thing to get pushed to the bottom of the list. We've pretty much been up to the same things as always: school, gymnastics, work, homework, sleep. Yup, that pretty much sums up every single day. I can't wait for Thanksgiving just to get a few days of relaxation! That being said, this semester has gone by so quickly that it is somewhat frightening.

Speaking of frightening, for Halloween we got together with the whole team for a date night and carved pumpkins. We had homework to get back to, so we made sure to go with our pumpkin pre-de-gooped, and with the pattern already outlined. That being said, we won first place in speed, and probably also got first place in pumpkin pattern awesomeness. So enjoy some pictures of the fun...

Yeah, we wore orange and black on purpose... and that's about as festive as we got.

Nothing says Halloween like a scary/silly face! (these are the "masks" that top off our costumes)

Can you tell what it is? It is Gru and 2 Minions, from the movie Despicable Me (great show!)

Pretty proud of our perfectly patterned pumpkin! pahaha

After we got all the pattern carved, we realized we forgot to bring a candle. After scouring our TINY apartment for a LARGE amount of time, we found no candles.... But alas, we go to college and used our collegiate wit to find another light source....

Introducing, the i-Candle!!!

I hope you all had a fun Halloween and are looking forward to future vacations like I am! (It's never to early to turn on the Christmas Tunes in my book!) Happy Holidays :)

Random Post

Seeing as I haven't posted in a while, and due to the fact that my 8am class was cancelled this morning (with no email from the teacher...) and I'm already on campus with an hour to kill, I decided I should post. Lets be honest, nothing too interesting has happened in the last few weeks... we have just been so busy with school and gym and work, we usually can barely schedule enough time for the necessary personal hygiene.

We are about to celebrate our three-month anniversary. And when I celebrate, I mean go to class, gym, and work all day! haha Nontheless, I thought I would finally get around to posting some funny pictures from our one-month anniversary.

Marvellous Catering (who supplied the delicious food at our wedding) was nice enough to give us a bottle of Sparkling Cider, which we saved for our one month anniversary! We didn't have a lid opener and we forgot that you can usually just twist them off, so Daniel went to grab the tools....

The poor mangled lid...

We live just close to a hospital and one day they had all these sweet old and new cars just parked on the grass and you could go look at them. Of course Daniel was all over this, so we went to check it out. These were just a few funny shapshots of 2 different corvettes (his true love... other then me of course!)

Well, thats just about all... and my other class is starting soon. Peace out bloggers, peace out.

What Up With the Pickards?!

I know all of you have been dying to know what we've been up to.... (not like you have kids or jobs or anything else to think about haha). Anywho, for anyone that has an interest, here's the basic lowdown:

Well, we got married and you knew that, but here are just a few pictures from Jessica Kettle and Allegra George that are our favs. Thanks for the beautiful pictures guys!

Next on the agenda, is camping. We got some sweet camping gear for our wedding from our grandparents so we decided to test it out up in the Uintas. It was a little weird camping with just two people but it turned out being really fun!

Then for my wedding present, Daniel got us Tim McGraw tickets up at Usana so we got to go. The coolest part was, right before Tim came out a security guy came up to our blanket and gave us seats down by Tim! We probably got within 5 feet of him at one point... and I may have almost cried and peed myself simultaneously. It. Was. Amazing.

Lastly, we've just been hanging out, working, gym-ing, and having fun with our family and friends. I love that I found somebody that can be as big of a goof-ball as me and that I can laugh with all day long :)

(Thanks to Whit and Dad for the boating pics and supporting our crazy ideas :))

Honey Moon

We've gotten multiple requests to put up some pictures of our honeymoon... and I'm finally getting around to it. The last few weeks have been so busy with work, gym, and trying to set the apartment up and stuff. Looking back and editing these was so fun, but it was kinda weird to think we have already been married over a month! Where the heck did the time go? Its almost august which means that school is starting soon :( boo!

Anywho, back to the honeymoon. We really just wanted to relax as much as we could while we were there and de-stress from all the simultaneous schooling and wedding planning. So we went to different beaches, explored some hikes, went to the PCC and dole plantation and pearl harbor!

Let the picture-fest begin!

This was on the way to the airport in LAX... we were pretty excited to be going on a sweet vacation just as a couple :)

We drove all the way to Waimea beach one day... and it rained the whole time we were there pretty much... but it was still beautiful!

Then we went to the dole plantation. It was pretty sweet seeing all of the different kinds of pineapples just growing everywhere. They even had pink ones! haha of course we had to get a picture as a Pair of Pineapple Pickards :)

That night we went to the cheesecake factory and then went to the beach to watch the sunset... it was beautiful, and we were silly. obviously :)

We also went on a hike to Manoa Falls. It was rainy that day too, but the hike ended up being really fun cause we got to splash around in the mud and see the beautiful waterfall at the end!

One of the days we drove to more of a "locals" beach that had HUGE waves and few people. It was fun, but I was too afraid to get in the water haha (Oh and Daniel was pretty excited because we got to rent a 2011 Convertible Ford Mustang for our trip!)

The day we went to the Polynesian Cultural Center was really fun! However, it rained pretty hard that day too (so no judging the hair peeps). I liked all the different shows, Tonga and Samoa were the best, and the food and the Luau and everything. It was really neat!

On Sunday we found this cute little church and went to sacrament meeting. Then we decided that Pearl Harbor was a good Sunday activity cause you didnt have to pay anything. It was really cool but kinda eerie. It was so sad to think that kind of destruction happened. Seeing the oil bubble up out of the Arizona, was a solemn reminder of all the poor men trapped down there. Then that night we got to meet up with my old teammates Kara and Emiko and their boyfriends and we all had a family dinner :) It was so good to get the ninja crew back together!

One day we did this killer hike called Koko Head. I'm not kidding you people. The locals call it "Natures Stairmaster", and it lived up to its name. It was really hard, but it was so beautiful at the top! Poor Daniel almost fainted at the top... It was a combination of heat, humidity, sun, and hard work haha!

One of the last days we went to this little lagoon. It was so beautiful with white sand, and calm water and it didnt rain! That night we went to the famous Rainbow Cafe and I sported my new favorite shirt I got :)

Well, thats all folks. Sorry that that was the longest blog post known to mankind! And I think I am the slowest blogger in the world! So if this isnt formated correctly, just give a sista a break cause I'm still trying to figure out how to do this stuff! Peace out!
