Venting

Two posts in one day? Yeah.  Is this a happy post? No.

Today we went down to our parking garage to find that Daniel's left sideview mirror had been stolen.  Not the whole thing mind you, just the stupid piece of glass/mirror.  This is just infuriating to me.  I don't understand how another human being can steal and not feel overwhelming guilt about it?!

If you are really hurting that badly for money or parts or something, go steal from the countless junk yard cars around here... or better yet, go out and get a job! (coming from the girl who is currently unemployed).  Its just silly that their minds automatically come to a young married housing complex to steal... like we are so flush with cash that we wont miss that mirror. WRONG!

Apparently there have been a lot of thefts from out apartments, and I swear if one more thing happens we are going to be moving.  I don't know why our place seems to be targeted but I'm about to ask if I can install a gate on our parking garage.  I'll be the personal gate keeper if I have to for goodness sakes!

I think its frustrating because it seems like a lot has been braking around here lately and it just doesn't seem to stop.  About a month ago one of my locks on my car stopped working and makes a spastic sound everytime you push the clicker.  Then a few weeks after that, another one started doing the same thing!  We thought we could fix it so we popped the door panel off but to our dismay you couldn't get to the actual locking mechanism.

A while back while driving home on the freeway through the endless construction zone of utah valley, one of the construction cars flipped a rock up and cracked Daniels windshield.  We tried to reporting it to UDOT, and they gave us ziltch.

Last week, one of Daniels headlights went out on his car and places want to charge about $100 bucks for the light and to install it.  WHAT THE HECK? How are car repairs/parts so expensive?  And why is everything failing?!

Annoyed. Bugged. Want to hurt thieves.

Fishing, Fire and Friends

This weekend we had some super fun times.  We love spending time outdoors right now.  The weather has been beautiful and not too hot which is great.  I'm so grateful to live in such a beautiful place and even more grateful that I have family and friends to spend time outdoors with!

To start off our Saturday, Daniel and I went on a hike to "Grannys Waterfall".  (Ok thats not really what its called... thats just what we have always called it because it is right behind my grandmas house in PG.  Truth be told I dont even know the real name of the trail..)

One of the smaller falls above the biggest fall

Please excuse my face... I don't think its right to wear makeup in nature :) haha

Later in the day we had plans with awesome friends Holl and Matt to go fishing and have a fire!  We went up American Fork canyon to Tibble Fork Reservoir and it was beautiful!  This was my first fishing experience and although we didn't catch anything it was still really fun!  Can't wait to do it again and catch a 2-footer ;).  After our failed fishing attempt, we found a place to have a fire and roast hot dogs and smores.  mmmmm, I swear everything tastes better cooked over a fire.  Thanks for the fun night guys!!!!

Again... no makeup. Deal with it :)  Daniel is enjoying his hot dog!

Awww... we were chilly ladies, but thanks to the guys the fire was warm!

Please don't hurt me!

Our rugged mountain men!

Aww so cute!!

A while ago my dad and Daniel got survival knives... needless to say this is the first time he's gotten to use it!  Predators beware!
